Torpedoes Practice Begins This Week at The Club!!

It is finally here; 2024 Torpedoes Swim Team practice begins next week!! Our numbers look great, but we could do some more 13/14 girls. If you know of any prospects, please send them our way!

The next Stroke clinic is on May 4, 8:30 AM at The Club pool in New Territory. No need to register, just show up. This is required for anyone who wishes to sign up for Stroke Judge, and it is fantastic training for any parents new to swim team! Additional dates & locations can be FOUND HERE.

We are preparing to send out an order request for custom team swim caps with customized names. We need a minimum batch of 25 to place the order, ordering information will be sent out soon.

The 2024 Kick Off Party is in two weeks on Friday, May 10. This is a slight change to the original date such that we can have professional sport photographers, William & Mary Photography, for our 2024 pictures.

Individual swimmer pictures begin at 4:00 PM, and team picture coordination will begin at 5:00 PM.
The swim party will commence from 6:00 – 8:00 PM after the team picture! CLICK HERE TO PREORDER

PRACTICE NOTES:

Parents. No parents will be inside the fenced area during practice at either practice pools. This includes "above the stairs" at The Club pool. Next week parents may walk their swimmers to the coach’s desk to sign in for practice. After walking your swimmer to the coaches, please exit the fenced area. This satisfies insurance requirements and creates an optimal environment for coaching and swimmer attention.
Interruptions. Do not interrupt practice unless an emergency exists. Communicate with coaches prior to or after practice in person, via email, or via SportsYou.
Swimmers. Swimmers should bring goggles, towels, and crocs/flip-flops. Caps are optional but recommended. Girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit and boys may wear jammers or swim briefs.
Weather. Plan to swim in the rain; practices are delayed or cancelled for thunder/lightning. We will use SportsYou for team communication of this nature, see below for the QR code to sign up.
