Tomorrow is our first swim meet! Practices are adjusted & compressed the morning before every meet, there is no practice the day after each meet.
Wednesday, May 29: Practice at The Club Pool, compressed times:

Weather forecast.
You will not need to ask myself or Coach questions whether or not we will have the meet due to weather. Those updates will be proactively pushed via SportsYou, SwimTopia, email, etc. Silence means everything is as planned.

Commonwealth Pool Info (pool map attached).
The pool is located behind Commonwealth Elementary (CWE) School: 4545 Briarwood Drive, Sugar Land,TX 77479. Parking is on the pool side of the street or the CWE School parking lot. They will have CASH ONLY concessions - Chick Fil-A sandwiches, drinks, chips, candy, ice cream, etc.
Meet Show Times.
- All Swimmers arrive at 3:30 PM to be organized and do swim warm ups.
- All Tent Parents arrive at 3:30 PM to be organized, trained, and begin markups.
- All other Shift 1 volunteers arrive 4:00 PM to be organized and trained on-the-spot.
Packing for the Meet.
- A bag to keep all your kid's stuff in
- Cold water & Gatorade.
- Healthy snacks
- Towels
- Swim cap & goggles
- Sunscreen (only apply after marked black sharpie w/events)
- Insect repellant
- Money for concessions
- Folding chair
- Books or games to enjoy between events
Label EVERYTHING with your child's first & last name!
You are welcome to take your swimmers to the concession stand, etc., between events, let the Tent Parent know when you take your child then return them expeditiously. Make sure to check your child out with a Tent Parent at the end of the swim meet.
Final item – Swimmer markup. Steve set up a fantastic “Tent Parent 101” guide on how to read heat sheets and how to mark up your swimmers HERE. If you are confident in marking then do it before you leave the house, otherwise they will be marked in the tents. Make sure to mark swimmers BEFORE spraying sunblock on them.
