Practice on Tuesday, May 15th  will be at the Cunningham Creek Pool, 300 Cunningham Creek Blvd.

Kick off party and pictures this Friday, May 18^th.  Individual pictures start at 4:00 and the team picture will be promptly at 5:00.  Please wear your team suit.  Please make sure you have the NT Torpedoes Photo Order Form 2012 filled out and ready to go BEFORE you come on Friday.  This makes the process go so much more smoothly.

The swim party will start at 5:30.  We will be serving pizza.  You need to take care of your own drinks.  Should be a great time!!!

Dear Parents,

When you sign up to be a volunteer please consider being a set up volunteer with Shelly Gulledge.

This involves setting up for the three home meets on June 11th, June 18th and June 25th from approx 7:30 to 10am.

For away meets the job is much smaller; simply helping set up the tents just before the swimmers arrive.

Compared to 5 half meets this is a great volunteer position! If you have any questions please call Shelly at 281-352-4995

Dear Torpedoes Parents,

As you know each family is required to volunteer for 5 half meets this swim season, EXCEPT if you are a Stroke Judge, you will only need to volunteer for 4 half meets!!! It is a great job, you get to see the swimmers swim, work with other judges, and receive free water all shift long!!

To become a Stroke Judge the Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League requires volunteers to attend a clinic every year. There are two types of clinics offered. Judges have to attend ONE CLINIC a year, either short (30 refresher ) or long (2-3 hours if you are new to judging).

         2012 Stroke Judge Clinic Dates

• May 12 |      Meadows – 7:30am short clinic, 8:00am long
• May 19 |      Greatwood – 7:30am short clinic, 8:00am long
• May 19 |      Wahoo – afternoon (Time TBA)
• June 2 |      New Territory – 7:30am short clinic, 8:00am long
